Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects?Join Sizewell C and help shape the future of nuclear energy.Assurance Lead Mechanical We are seeking a mechanically focused Assurance Lead to support the delivery of construction and maintenance works across SZC’s critical infrastructure. Reporting to the Assurance & Utilities Manager, you’ll oversee mechanical systems and utilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance across SZC’s assets.Key Responsibilities:Lead mechanical construction and maintenance activities across SZC-owned infrastructure.Oversee installation and upkeep of mechanical systems including water pumping, water treatment, desalination & conveyor systems.Manage reactive and planned maintenance, fault investigations, and system repairs.Ensure compliance with mechanical safety rules and health & safety procedures.Act as Senior Authorised Person and Control Person for mechanical works and documentation.Coordinate mechanical works to minimise disruption to SZC’s electricity, water, and IT&T supplies.Support budget planning and delivery for mechanical operations.Provide technical input to design and commissioning of mechanical systems.Deputise for the Assurance & Utilities Manager and lead team briefings when required.Maintain high standards of safety management and continuous improvement.
