Senior Data Analyst
Location: Sutton Coldfield (Hybrid Flexible, 3 days in office, 2 from home)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

The Role:

We’re looking for an analytical and business-minded Senior Data Analyst to join our fast-growing team at Dignity. Sitting within the central Analytics function, you’ll play a critical role in unlocking insight from data to support smarter decision-making across the organisation.

Reporting to the Analytics Manager, you’ll work cross-functionally with teams such as Finance, Operations, and Digital to translate complex datasets, stakeholder input, and business needs into actionable insights. Whether it’s supporting digital transformation, improving service delivery, or driving internal efficiencies, you’ll help shape our data-driven culture and ensure evidence-based decisions are embedded into how we work.

This is a high-impact role for someone with strong SQL and data visualisation skills who thrives on solving problems, influencing change, and making a meaningful difference through data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, insights and opportunities for improvement across the business.
  • Use SQL to extract, validate and compare data across systems, ensuring high accuracy and consistency.
  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs, define metrics and deliver clear, insightful analysis.
  • Maintain rigorous QA processes to ensure data integrity and reliability in all reporting outputs.
  • Support operational and strategic planning by collating and interpreting performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes, reducing manual effort and improving scalability.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a compelling and accessible way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage relationships across the business, including senior stakeholders, with professionalism and confidence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar analytics or BI role.
  • Advanced SQL skills with a strong understanding of data structures and modelling best practices.
  • Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets to produce actionable insights.
  • Proficient in data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of how data supports business strategy and operations.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills — comfortable working with senior leadership.
  • Experience in Python/R is advantageous but not essential.
  • Advanced Excel and strong general IT skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.).

What We Offer:

  • Up to £60,000 per annum
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • BUPA Healthcare (Self)
  • x2 Life Assurance
  • Pension Scheme
  • Hybrid flexible working (3 days in our Sutton Coldfield office)
