Are you an organised, people-focused professional who’s passionate about creating high-quality learning environments? We’re looking for a Skills Development Coordinator to help drive excellence across our training Centres.
In this exciting role, you’ll play a key part in supporting Tutors, managing resources, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day-to-day. You’ll champion high standards in health and safety, quality assurance, and staff development, helping Tutors deliver the best possible learning experience.
Working closely with our Quality Lead, you’ll support continuous improvement across our Centres — ensuring compliance, encouraging professional growth, and maintaining a culture of excellence and collaboration.
What you’ll do
-Work closely with the Quality Lead to support the development and maintenance of quality assurance and standardisation processes, ensuring consistency across all training and assessment activities
-Oversee the day-to-day management of Tutors, ensuring that they have the support and guidance needed to perform effectively, monitor their performance, and foster an environment of continuous improvement
-Provide support for Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes, assisting with the assessment and review of training quality and Tutor performance to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations
-Ensure that Tutors are provided with up-to-date workbooks and learning resources, facilitating effective teaching and learning by meeting the needs of both Tutors and customers
-Support the planning and implementation of Observations of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (OTLAs), ensuring that Tutors are observed and provided with constructive feedback to enhance their professional development
-Conduct regular Centre walkthroughs to ensure all safety procedures are being followed, including fire safety checks and health & safety updates, and ensure compliance is recorded on Citation for documentation and monitoring purposes.
What you’ll need
-Level 2 English & Maths as a minimum
-Education to Level 3 or above
-Knowledge of DWP & SFA contracts
-Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (or working towards)
-Appropriate teaching qualification at Level 5 e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE
-Experience of dealing with a wide range of unemployed customers and young adults
-Proven experience in managing and developing staff, with a focus on performance management, feedback, and team development
-Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes, including Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and Observations of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (OTLA)
-Clean driving licence and full-time access to car as this role requires travel.
Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
We welcome applicants with lived experience and encourage applications that reflect the relevance to the post.
Benefits
-CPD - Broad range of internal training to enhance your knowledge and skills
-Generous pension scheme, with the option to opt out
-Company health plan subject to successful completion of probation period
-25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
-5-10 sick day per year paid.
