Hours: 23.25 per week, 39 weeks
Working pattern for position is 08:00 -16:15 Tues, Wed & Thurs.
Dean Park Primary is a thriving non-denominational primary school which serves the village of Balerno in the Southwest of Edinburgh. The main school is currently organised into 20 primary classes, and our nursery offers full-time spaces for up to 88 children. The school is split over two sites, with the nursery annexe situated in the heart of the village and the main school campus in the Marchbank housing estate.

The service is now seeking to recruit a skilled, knowledgeable, and creative Early Years Practitioner on a permanent basis. The successful post holder will be required to work shift patterns within the setting, between the hours of 08.00hrs and 16.15hrs on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
