Job title: Change Release Manager – Oracle Intelligent Advisor
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Change Release Manager – Oracle Intelligent Advisor to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in software development principles, hands-on experience with modern technologies, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple platforms.
Maintain and enforce change control processes, ensuring compliance with governance and audit requirements.
Coordinate release planning with the Delivery Manager and stakeholders to align with sprint cycles and business priorities.
Maintain a forward schedule of change (FSC) and release calendar.
Plan and manage Oracle IA upgrades, including coordination with Oracle support and internal teams.
Schedule and implement security patching across environments, ensuring timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
Oversee configuration management, including WebLogic settings, integrations, and ruleset deployments.
Collaborate with IA Developers to ensure deployment packages are validated and version controlled.
Maintain environment integrity across dev, test, staging, and production.
Ensure rollback plans and deployment scripts are in place and tested.
Work with testers to schedule regression and performance testing in line with release timelines.
Liaise with infrastructure teams or managed service providers for environment provisioning and patching.
Work closely with Business Analysts to understand upcoming changes and their impact.
Coordinate with the User Researcher and Content Manager to ensure user-facing changes are communicated effectively.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on release status, risks, and issues.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
Proven experience in Change Release Management within a managed service or enterprise environment.
Plan and execute releases for Oracle IA Hub/Server and WebLogic clusters, including multi-environment promotion, approval workflows, cut-over, and rollback strategies.
Align release planning with sprint cycles, business readiness, and stakeholder communication.
Maintain ITIL-aligned processes including CAB participation, change records, RAID logs, and incident/problem linkage.
Manage versioning of OPM projects, rulebase dependencies, and environment-specific configurations (adapters, connections, integrations).
Ensure cross-environment consistency and traceability across development, UAT, and production environments.
Oversee deployment to Azure Red Hat Linux environments and WebLogic clusters, ensuring resilience, clustering, and session integrity.
Coordinate Oracle IA and WebLogic product upgrades, security patching (CPU/PSU), JDK updates, certificate renewals, and vulnerability remediation.
Schedule and manage changes across Azure services—Red Hat Linux hosts, WebLogic domains, Azure API Management (authZ/authN policies, throttling), and Key Vault secrets.
Safely manage API and data contract changes for integrated systems such as Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and other third-party consumers/providers.
Govern lifecycle of embedded/headless interview APIs, ensuring backward compatibility and stable deployments across environments.
Ensure interview logs/results comply with classification, retention, and lineage requirements across Azure SQL and Azure Storage.
Support privacy impact assessments, audit readiness, and documentation for data protection and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate test execution using OPM test packs; maintain traceability of test outcomes for rulebase changes.
Validate accessibility compliance for each release (WCAG/GDS), using tools like SortSite, JAWS, and Dragon.
Ensure documentation and test evidence is complete and auditable across all release gates.
Align releases with Agile/WAgile delivery (Scrum, Kanban), managing Definition of Ready/Done, sprint/release notes, and user-adoption planning.
Work closely with product owners, QA, developers, DevOps, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement in delivery cadence and quality.
Proven ability to oversee deployment processes, release scheduling, and change control specific to IA across development, test, and production environments.
Experience in managing business change and user adoption for IA solutions, including stakeholder engagement, training, and support for non-technical users.
Strong background in managing Oracle IA upgrades and security patch release cycles.
Security Clearance: Must meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements.
Work Environment: Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, often engaging with other internal delivery teams.
Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.
