Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Bromsgrove B61
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support to their 9-year-old Daughter for 6 hours per week with all aspects of daily living, taking part in activities and accessing the community.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Going to the local park, cinema, bowling, soft plays and theme parks.
Support with arts & crafts and painting.
Access the local community.
Support to go shopping.
Personal care: Support with all personal care.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with previous care experience. Someone who has worked with children with Autism.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 6 hours per week – Times & days to be discussed
Rate of pay: £14.00 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous experience required
Confidentiality
Good at building relationships
Preferred:
Good communicator
A good listener
Ability to support people with complex care & support needs.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
