- Coordinate and monitor daily transport schedules, deliveries, and collections to meet contractual service levels.
- Execute delivery plans via Paragon; carry out driver briefings, debriefs, and manage daily operational queries.
- Liaise with warehouse teams and stores to ensure load availability and timely resolution of delivery issues.
- Monitor and escalate KPI failures, QSHE incidents, and service disruptions.
- Ensure tachograph data is downloaded, driver hours and WTD compliance is monitored, and relevant licences are validated.
- Maintain defect logs via Axscend and coordinate repairs with contractors.
- Ensure full compliance with Operator Licensing, health & safety requirements, and company policies.
- Support vehicle maintenance and ensure trailer/unit availability.
- Optimise staff utilisation, hire vehicles, and subcontractors in line with business demands.
- Compile and analyse transport data, KPIs, and defect reports.
- Promote a positive, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Support change initiatives and continuous improvement across the transport team.
- Sound understanding of Tachograph and WTD regulations.
- Familiar with transport management systems, including Paragon and Microlise (advantageous).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
- Confident, diplomatic, and able to manage pressure.
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Experience in a similar transport/administrative role is highly desirable.
- Background in a fast-paced logistics or customer service environment is advantageous.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities or shift requirements.
- Professional, respectful, and team-oriented.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Microsoft Office training or equivalent IT literacy.
To work on a 4 on 4 off 6am to 6pm (this will include working weekends) days.
