Crynodeb

This post is restricted to females only as a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 paragraph 1, Equality Act 2010.

About the role:

The service is led by registered nurses and is located in Twickenham, London. We're seeking to hire full-time, part-time, and bank support workers to join our dedicated team. Our focus is on the people who live in our service, ensuring that they receive care tailored to their individual needs.

Those we support engage in a range of activities, including arts and crafts, trips to the cinema, and yoga sessions.

You will be assisting individuals with complex needs, including those who are nonverbal, have epilepsy, visual impairments, or require the use of wheelchairs. Given these needs, we're looking for support workers who have some prior experience and are at ease providing personal care, such as bathing, assisting with toileting, or shaving. Have at least 1 years’ experience working with people who have learning disabilities and mobility issues.

Due to the vulnerability of the people that we support, face masks are worn within the service and full personal protective equipment (PPE) when providing personal care.

Hours & pay enhancements:

Full time, part time to cover long day shifts, which usually are 7:00/7:30am – 8:00pm.

Monday to Fridays: £12.21 per hour

Monday to Friday nights (10.00pm to 6.00am): £13.21 per hour

Saturdays and Sundays: £13.21 per hour

Bank Holidays: Time and a half

Sleep-in: N/A but £32 per session

Location:

Twickenham TW1 4, parking available. The service is a short walk to Strawberry Hill station and several bus stops nearby.

About you:

You will receive comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to be an excellent Support Worker and to feel confident in providing care to those in the service.

We are looking for people with the right attitude - people who are passionate about making a difference and helping others to live happy, meaningful lives. Successful candidates will need to be caring and patient and able to treat people with dignity, respect and compassion. You must have good communication skills, including listening and picking up on non-verbal communication. You also need to be able to work well as part of a team.

Please note that CVs will be reviewed upon submission, and we retain the right to conduct interviews and make appointments before the closing date.

Choice Support is Disability Confident which is a scheme run by the Department of Work and Pensions. As part of our commitment, we operate a guaranteed interview scheme - all candidates who declare a disability and meet the essential criteria for the role will be guaranteed an interview. If you consider yourself to have a disability or long-term chronic health condition or if you require any adjustments/support during the application/selection process, please contact us at claudette.walker@choicesupport.org.uk so that we can discuss your needs with you.

The closing date to apply is 17th October 2025.

Formal interview will be held at Roy Kinnear House from week commencing 27th October 2025.
