About the role
sjb medical are recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider for the role of Health Assessor, a career-defining opportunity for qualified clinicians looking to make a meaningful impact outside of traditional treatment settings.
In this role, you'll use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions affect individuals' daily lives and mobility. You'll be supporting people at a vulnerable time, helping them access the benefits they need, while working in a structured, routine environment that supports your wellbeing and professional growth.
This position is based at one of the client's PIP Assessment Centres, with hybrid working options available and a minimum of 2 days on site. Flexible contracts are offered from 3 to 5 days per week, allowing you to tailor your schedule to suit your lifestyle.
About you:
You'll be a qualified General, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, with at least one year of post-registration experience and a current registration with your professional body. You'll be ready to transition from clinical diagnosis to functional assessment, and comfortable working in a more routine, target-driven environment.
You'll be:
- Conducting clinical and functional assessments with empathy and professionalism
- Writing high-quality reports that support benefit decisions
- Managing your time effectively to meet daily targets (3 assessments per day once trained)
- Using your IT and typing skills to document findings accurately
- Collaborating with a supportive team and contributing to daily briefings
- Maintaining your registration and CPD through ongoing development
