Crynodeb

Helena Charlesworth Equestrian is a dressage & livery yard with currently 25 horses; many on livery and 8 being high level dressage horses. Helena Charlesworth is a British Eventing Accredited Trainer and an Advanced Dressage Rider who trains individuals from novice through to advanced combinations.

The ideal candidate will have prior equine knowledge and experience, combined with a real passion for horses and a willingness to learn.

This is an exciting role of 25 hours per week - exact days and times to be discussed with
employer. Yard running hours are between 7:30am - 5pm.

This apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge from equine professionals and understand the needs of the
industry which can be carried through your career.

Helena Charlesworth Equestrian are happy to accept a L2 or L3 Equine
apprentice on a riding or non-riding pathway. Please be aware that if you wish to complete the riding pathway, you must be able to walk, trot and canter competently already as the riding horses available are of dressage standard.
The apprenticeship is practical and therefore, not much time spent
in a classroom. If you did not gain your GCSEs at school, we can support you
with your functional skills whilst on programme. Your role here will include
tasks like:

Advance knowledge about horse care

Lunge
horses

Grooming
& Clipping
Yard duties

Riding
for exercise (if ridden pathway)

There is availability to bring your own horse, with a livery charge to be discussed with employer.

There is no accommodation on site so please ensure you consider your transport to and from the location.

To apply for this role, you must have been living in the UK
for 3 years or more.

Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid
working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a
combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your
Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

A GCSE or equivalent pass is beneficial but not
essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in
achieving your Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications alongside
your apprenticeship.
