Join one of the UK’s leading independent schools and bring your culinary leadership to the next level. We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our prep school kitchen brigade and deliver high-quality, nutritious, and exciting meals for pupils and staff.
Our ideal candidate will hold a CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering and 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification or equivalent, have proven experience in a similar role in managing a kitchen (ideally in an educational environment), and possess strong interpersonal and team management skills.
This role is a permanent position working 48 hours per week, weekdays for 34 weeks per annum and Saturdays for 24 weeks per annum . The hours of work are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm and Wednesdays from 8:00am to 6:30pm, with an hour's paid lunch break each day. and Saturday 6:30am to 12:00pm for 24 weeks per annum. Additional weekend working may be required to support school functions eg Speech Day, Harvest Festival etc.
