Support Worker - Lord Alexander House Make a Real Difference Every Day - Join Our Team at Lord Alexander House!We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our friendly team at Lord Alexander House, a supported living service in the heart of Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), where you’ll be helping individuals with mental health needs live independently in their own purpose-built flats.As a Support Worker, you will:Provide tailored support to individuals in their own homesEncourage life skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, and cleaningFollow personalised support plans and risk assessmentsEmpower people to achieve their goals and live fulfilling livesAbout YouWe are looking for people who are:Caring, reliable, and proactive, with a genuine desire to help othersAble to communicate effectively and adapt to different needsComfortable working shifts, including weekends and bank holidaysCommitted to equality, diversity, and person-centred supportHold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for workAdditionally, you will also be able to:Work shifts as part of a rota system which will include weekend and bank holiday workingPerform at least one sleep in per week as part of your shift (allowance of £52.78 paid)Work as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to the people we supportBe flexible in your approach to work and demonstrate resilience in a challenging, but rewarding environmentHave a commitment to equality and diversity and take a positive approach to supporting people with mental disabilitiesIt is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and are happy to do sleep-ins (minimum one per week).Hightown Benefits:Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year, including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service£25,857 pa for a 37.5 hour a week contract (£13.26 per hour)We make sleep in payments of at least £52.78 (in addition to your basic pay)Workplace pension scheme and life assurance of three times your annual salaryMileage paid for car usageFully paid DBSAnnual bonus based on satisfactory performanceMonthly attendance bonus and annual salary and cost of living reviewOngoing professional development and training to help you deliver outstanding supportEmployee assistance helplineAppointment to this position will be subject to satisfactory right to work, enhanced DBS, reference and medical checks.We are an Equal Opportunities & Disability Confident Employer.
