Currently we are looking for a IT Consultant for our UK operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As an IT Consultant, you will have a complete understanding of the company’s IT services and products. You will be responsible for scoping, documenting, programming, and supporting the solution delivery in complex IT landscapes.
You would possess relevant Industry recognised certifications.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Design and implement end-to-end DevOps practices using Azure DevOps services, including but not limited to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and release management.
• Collaborate with software development, operations, and QA teams to streamline development processes and ensure efficient code delivery and deployment.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various applications, ensuring code quality, automated testing, and reliable deployment.
• Manage and optimise Azure cloud resources to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management.
• Monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain high availability.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and new technologies in DevOps and cloud computing and recommend their adoption to improve processes.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and implement secure DevOps practices.
• Provide training and mentorship to development teams on Azure DevOps tools and practices.
Skills Required
• Technical Expertise - Commercial experience as an IT consultant with specific experience related to Azure Devops technology
• Working environment - You will be comfortable attacking complex challenges in many ways, as a team member and most importantly manage the project stakeholders. Work closely with other Tech leads, Senior management team, stakeholders to create and deliver industry-leading software.
• Quality and security - You will understand, respect, and reinforce the importance of quality in the product development process. You will have demonstrable experience of using your initiative to improve the quality, robustness, and accuracy of deliverables.
• Inter-Personal Skills - You should have demonstrable communication skills, problem-solving and "can-do" attitude.
Essential Experience
• Proven experience as an IT consultant with a focus on Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience across designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments in Azure
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and management using Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) for automation tasks.
• Versioning Control tools - SVN, Bit Bucket, Git Hub etc
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools for identifying and troubleshooting issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Education Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Master’s Degree – Preferred
