I am a 9-year-old girl who lives in Prudhoe with my Mum, Dad and sister. I am looking for a personal care support worker who can come and spend some time with me and do things away from my family.
I am a giggly, happy and affectionate little girl who would like somebody calm and friendly to spend time with me. I need somebody to help me:
- get out of our home and do fun things
- do my personal care as I cannot do this myself
- to communicate as I don't use words, but I do let you know when I am happy (or not!)
- Having somebody's undivided attention on a quiet, calm activity we are doing. I love fidget toys
- Playing on the trampoline, this is so much fun, and I hope you will join in with me
- Being indoors at soft play, jungle gym or going swimming. Would you come with me?
- Getting cuddles and being close to people who keep me safe and have fun
- Calm and patient
- Fit and active to do my favourite things with me and sit on the floor to play
- Be able to communicate with me in our own way
- Spare time in the school holidays to come out with me
- Your own car that you can take me out in as buses are not very good where we live
- A full enhanced disclosure and barring service certificate to work with child workforce
- Have worked with people who need help to look after themselves and communicate before
- Be able to learn from my family and do any training my direct payment advisor asks you to do
- 4 hours per week during all school holidays (13 weeks per year) · Flexible on days as I won’t be at school during the week
