Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer ready to take the lead in a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering environment? Our client, a leading name in precision engineering based in Wolverhampton, is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in end-to-end manufacturing support, from initial design and 3D modelling through to process planning, offline programming, and shopfloor implementation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide full lifecycle manufacturing support - from design to delivery
- Create efficient, cost-effective manufacturing solutions that meet production deadlines and budgets
- CNC offline programming for milling and turning (3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines)
- Generate comprehensive setup packs, stage drawings, and SOPs
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and assist with machine prove-outs
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term corrective actions
- Collaborate with Quality on PFMEAs and non-conformance resolution
- Design and specify tooling and fixtures to enhance process capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement and support strategic business projects
- Engage with customers and suppliers on technical solutions
- Proven experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role
- Skilled in CAD/CAM and CNC programming (multi-axis)
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
- Confident problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels, including customers and suppliers
- Knowledge of PFMEA and quality standards within precision engineering
- Salary up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
