Many of our pupils are non-verbal and use alternative methods of communication such as Makaton, symbols, or communication aids, often supported through a multi-sensory approach.Supporting our students can be both rewarding and challenging. Pupils may experience moments of frustration or emotional distress, and you’ll play an important role in helping them manage their behaviour and emotions. You will be part of a highly skilled and supportive team, where your efforts will be valued and your development supported. For more information about our school, please visit our website.Safeguarding StatementWe are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of our safer recruitment practices, all applicants will be subject to a rigorous selection process, including references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, in line with the requirements of the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) statutory guidance and relevant safeguarding legislation.Employment is subject to satisfactory background checks, proof of right to work in the UK, and, where applicable, professional references and qualifications. We reserve the right to close this advert before the advertised closing date.
