―Well-developed organizational skills and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage workload.
―Ability to empathise and develop rapport with individuals applying to the College.
―Strong diplomatic influencing and relationship-building skills to collaborate with others and convert initial inquiries into successful enrolments. High attention to detail and accuracy.
―Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

―Worked in a college environment or with young people before.
―Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travelling to work related events.
Job purpose
―To contribute towards the delivery of BCE’s high quality, impartial information, advice, and guidance service, supporting prospective and existing learners in their post-16 education choices.
―To provide an effective service including the administration of application, interview, and enrolment paperwork, ensuring an accurate recording of data for prospective and existing learners.
―To provide a high standard of customer service and efficient support to learners, applicants and BCE staff and visitors.
―To promote BCE as the first choice for all 16–23-year-old learners.
Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for manning the admissions inbox making sure that enquiries are responded to within the service level agreement. Respond to applicant enquiries by phone and post – providing comprehensive information and advice on all courses available at BCE and signposting learners for specialist advice where appropriate.
2. Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and prospective learners through individual or group sessions, workshops, presentations within BCE and alongside external agencies.
3. To help maximize attendance at open interview evenings by calling applicants listed in the CRM database Salesforce, explaining the event details, and encouraging them to attend.
4. To process and manage course applications and interview appointments via Salesforce and in compliance with GDPR. Respond to applications within the service level agreement. Ensure all applicants declaring a learning difficulty or disability are referred to Student Services prior to enrolment. To ensure that applicants who disclose a learning difficulty during the interview are directed to the appropriate SEN department, and to maintain clear records of attendees from open evenings.
Salary and Days of Work
―35 hours across 5 days a week for 52 weeks per year
―25 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays
―This is a permanent full-time position
―Start Date ASAP
―Annual salary of £27,000
