Sedgemoor Manor School are recruiting for a Housekeeper to join our support team! We are looking for passionate people to make sure our sites are safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping. You will will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the homes and will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance. This position is working Monday-Friday, 6am to 11am (flexible). This role is 5 hours a day, 30 hours a week. Cycle to work scheme and more!Sedgemoor Manor is a specialist day school for young people who have needs associated with a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum/SPLD and are aged between 10 and 18 years. Our tailored approach means we are able to support young people with a wide range of learning difficulties. We accept that young people who are referred to us may have previously experienced a ‘cycle of failure’ and our aim is to have a transformational impact on their lives by them experiencing a ‘culture of success’. We support all young people to achieve successful outcomes so that they can progress to experience fulfilling and rewarding lives. We warmly welcome our students into our community, which is underpinned by a culture of outstanding relationships, nurture and unconditional high regard.The following skills would be of benefit to the role:Previous experience in a housekeeping or site cleaning position.
A good knowledge of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace, however training will be provided.
You will be organised, adaptable and thorough in your approach to work.There is some flexibility in terms of start time, but it is envisaged that the successful candidate would be available either at the start or end of the school day, in order to minimise disruption to our student's learning.
