Crynodeb

Olchfa is delighted to offer this role to someone looking to move into a management position within the catering industry and Governors are therefore looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to assist in leading and managing our catering team.
Olchfa runs its catering provision in-house, meaning all catering staff are employed directly by the school. The successful candidate must: have experience of working in a kitchen environment, have great customer service skills, be very comfortable in a customer facing environment, work well under pressure in a very flexible, fast paced working environment, enjoys learning new skills and has a real enthusiasm for food.
As Assistant Catering Manager, you will be ready to take on management responsibilities in a kitchen environment, supporting the Catering Manager on a daily basis and deputising for them when necessary. The role will require someone who can support the Catering Manager in creating, preparing and serving healthy and appetising meals, have high standards and expectations of themselves and for those in their team, a vision for identifying new opportunities or creating innovative new ideas, and a relentless approach to providing a high quality service provision - all whilst ensuring complete safety compliance and the highest hygiene standards.
In return, you can expect:
• Term time only employment (no school holiday working)
• Monday to Friday hours
• Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
• Free on-site parking
• Subsidised use of our Calon Fitness Suite
• Subsidised Private Health Care
• All required uniform and training provided
