We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Attendance and Family Liaison Officer to join our supportive team at Wolfdale, a nurturing and inclusive school committed to supporting every child to thrive.
In this vital role, you will act as the key link between school, families, and external agencies—working to promote engagement, reduce barriers to learning, and ensure the wellbeing of our pupils and their families.

Build positive, trusting relationships with families to support pupil wellbeing, attendance, and engagement.
Work with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies to provide early help and coordinated support.
Offer guidance and signposting for families on a range of issues (e.g. parenting, behaviour, housing, mental health).
Support families through transitions and times of difficulty, acting as a consistent point of contact.
Work closely with the safeguarding and pastoral teams to ensure joined-up support for vulnerable pupils.
Help improve communication and collaboration between school and home.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children, families, or in a pastoral/safeguarding role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
The ability to build strong professional relationships with families, staff, and external agencies.
A good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and early help processes.
Strong organisational skills, initiative, and a flexible, solution-focused mindset.
Why join us?
At Wolfdale School, we pride ourselves on our inclusive and supportive environment. As a valued member of our team, you will have access to ongoing professional development, a welcoming staff community, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
We will be looking for interviews to primarily take place on the 15th and 29th of October 2025 and will set further dates if required.
