Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Operations Support Manager to join our team in Wales, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our operational processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate daily operations activities, ensuring efficiency and productivity across all departments
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and improve operational performance
- Analyse operational data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
- Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with overall business objectives
- Oversee project management activities related to operational improvements and new initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management
- Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to maintain optimal service levels
- Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term operational strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations management or a similar role
- Proven track record in team leadership and supervision
- Strong knowledge of operations management principles and best practices
- Excellent project management skills with experience in process improvement initiatives
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems
- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
- Willingness to travel within Wales and the UK as required
