The Opportunity
Join a dynamic and growing team working on innovative medical technologies. This role involves ensuring quality assurance and compliance across products, materials, processes, and documentation related to medical device manufacturing. You'll be involved in goods-in inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality checks across all stages of manufacturing: goods-in, in-process, and final testing
- Review batch records to ensure error-free production and batch release
- Maintain and calibrate tooling, ensuring non-conforming tools are removed from use
- Track and report on manufacturing KPIs and implement quality checkpoints
- Maintain documentation including supplier records and batch information
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances (NCRs) and support corrective actions
- Provide technical support to suppliers, customers, and auditors
- Collaborate with engineering teams on quality-related projects
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working to electronics industry standards (e.g., IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610)
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO13485, AS9100, or ISO9001
- Background in electro-mechanical assemblies within regulated sectors (medical, aerospace, defence)
- Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with inspection tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, digital calipers)
- Experience in a Quality Control role within a regulated environment
- Relevant technical education (e.g., apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or higher)
