Our client is a distinguished Microsoft Solutions Partner. They specialise in providing transformative services focused on Microsoft Cloud solutions, including Office 365, Business Apps, Mobile Device Management, Operations Management, and Azure. They are dedicated to enacting change, achieving outcomes, and building enduring relationships with their clients.
They are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Technical IT Support Engineer to join their small but growing Managed Service team.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT support environment or strong IT background with relevant education
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, User Management, SharePoint, Teams)
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows (Desktop and Server) and Apple Mac operating systems
• Knowledge of device management and policies (e.g., Intune, JAMF)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of cloud security products (e.g., Defender, MFA, Conditional Access)
• Core networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Service desk ticket triage and management experience
What will your role look like?
• Deliver effective 1st to 3rd line IT support focused on Microsoft Cloud Technologies
• Resolve IT issues and requests promptly to meet SLA’s and provide an excellent customer experience
• Follow Support Processes and Procedures as defined in the EIT Service Desk Procedures
• Undertake activities and actions as directed by your Line Manager, including support and project work
• Maintain and develop skills in Microsoft Cloud Technologies such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Endpoint Manager, and Azure
• Mentor junior Support Team members and support adherence to procedures
• Assist in maintaining ISO accreditation
• Travel to customer sites in Manchester (2 days/month), Loughborough (2 days/month), and the main client Basingstoke office monthly
