Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development and system administration, with a passion for automating processes and improving system reliability. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless software deployment, and maintaining high standards of software quality assurance.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Manage cloud infrastructure using tools such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
Automate deployment processes using configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Develop scripts for automation using languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), or PowerShell.
Maintain version control systems (Git, SVN) and manage release management processes.
Work with containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Ensure system security by implementing firewalls and managing access controls through Active Directory.
Participate in incident management and response activities to resolve issues promptly.
Experience
The successful candidate will have experience with the following technologies and methodologies:
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Go, C#, or Python.
Experience with database technologies including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or DynamoDB.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles and practices.
Experience with system administration on Linux or Windows Server environments.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
