Are you a Hospital Pharmacy Technician or a Community Pharmacy Technician interested working in a hospital setting or want to develop in a new environment? Then this could be the role you have been looking for.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly team.

You will primarily be working in the inpatients dispensary and there will be an opportunity to support the Emergency Department with dispensing, enhancing your current skills whilst developing new ones. You will also be given the opportunity to complete your Practice Supervisor Training (PS).

In addition to effective communication and team-working skills, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have completed, or be willing to undertake training, to become an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT).

To support 7 day working, you will be required to work at weekends, Bank Holidays and late duty according to rotas.



To dispense and supply accurately medicines to inpatients and support the medicines optimisation service to the wards.

To assess the requirements for medicines on wards and in departments in accordance with agreed stock lists.

To dispense prescriptions for individual patients, ensuring that they are provided with the correct medicine, in the right form, in a timely manner.

To counsel patients on the safe use of medicines.


To rotate into the Emergency Department to support with the dispensing


To ensure that wastage of medicines is minimised by correct stock rotation and correct storage.
