Crynodeb
Assist with the day-to-day running of the laboratory and assist clinical and nursing staff with collection of completed work. Maintain equipment used in the laboratory and report equipment failure/malfunction. Maintain general cleanliness/organisation of work areas. To maintain the strictest confidence in relation to personnel related information and it must be recognised that all patient related information is confidential whether formally recorded or not. To work in adherence to Health and Safety guidance, Trusts Health and Safety Policy, COSHH Regulations and other statutory requirements as appropriate. Be familiar with working in a laboratory environment and the use of heat generating equipment such as Bunsen burners and furnaces. The job will involve the use of hazardous chemicals and materials. To participate in Quality and Audit Initiatives undertaken by the trust and on occasion materials testing. To be appraised with Line Manager and to identify training and development needs. Strive to maintain and develop further skills.
