Licensing Administrative Assistant – 9 months Fixed Term
Legal & Licensing
Salary Grade 2 i.e. £25,583 - £26,824 per annum
Full Time, 37 hours per week

We are seeking a well-organised and motivated individual to join our Licensing team. To succeed in this role, you must have a good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or above.

You’ll need to demonstrate a solid understanding of confidentiality and data protection, as well as strong IT skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office. The ability to plan and manage your workload independently and meet deadlines is essential, as is a willingness to undertake relevant licensing training to build expertise in this area.

You will ideally have experience working in customer service or a regulatory environment where accuracy and timeliness are critical, though we are open to developing the right candidate who meets all essential criteria. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve conflicts and build effective relationships, will help you thrive in this role. Experience using systems like Tascomi or Idox, or working in the public sector, would be an advantage but is not required. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a regulatory services setting and make a real contribution to the local community.

If you would like more information about the role, please contact Jennifer Flynn, Senior Licensing Officer at jennifer.flynn@basssetlaw.gov.uk or (01909) 533 533.

We offer a generous employee benefit package including 26-32 days holiday plus bank holidays, free healthcare cash plan, flexitime and so much more. You can read about all our employee benefits here.

We value the diversity of our people and actively encourage applications from all sections of the community. We maintain fair and well thought out recruitment processes at every stage to make sure that everyone is treated equally.

To apply please visit Jobs and careers | Bassetlaw District Council to upload your CV and covering letter, highlighting your relevant experience, qualifications, skills and achievements.

Please note that the application process will require you to upload your CV. If you don't have one to upload, you can download a CV template we've created to help you get started.
