Sedgemoor Manor School are recruiting for a part-time Housekeeper to join our support team! We are looking for passionate people to make sure our sites are safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping. You will will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the homes and will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance. This position is working Monday-Friday, 6am to 11am (flexible). This role is 5 hours a day, 30 hours a week. We may consider splitting the role in to two 15 hours per week positions for the right candidate/s

Sedgemoor Manor is a specialist day school for young people who have needs associated with a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum/SPLD and are aged between 10 and 18 years. Our tailored approach means we are able to support young people with a wide range of learning difficulties. We accept that young people who are referred to us may have previously experienced a 'cycle of failure' and our aim is to have a transformational impact on their lives by them experiencing a 'culture of success'. We support all young people to achieve successful outcomes so that they can progress to experience fulfilling and rewarding lives.

The following skills would be of benefit to the role:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or site cleaning position.
  • A good knowledge of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace, however training will be provided.
  • You will be organised, adaptable and thorough in your approach to work.
