Holt Engineering is looking for a Quality Inspector for a growing manufacturing business in Portsmouth.
As a Quality Inspector you will play a pivotal role within the business, you will be working within goods in, stage and final inspection of precision engineering components and assemblies .
This role is a 3 month fixed term contract paying £14 - £17ph (DOE).
Working full time Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Key Responsibilities for Quality Inspector
- Inspection of precision engineering components
- Calibrated Tool control issuing & approval.
- Assist with First Article Inspection
- Working to High tolerancing
- Inspection using Manual CMM, Romer measurement arm/Faro arm
- Use measurement tools and equipment e.g. (calipers, micrometers, gauges, high gauges)
- To work with the Quality Controller to develop, improve & maintain quality standards across the areas of responsibility.
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain quality documents
- Escalate quality issues to the quality manager
- Proactively advise management of any issues
- Provide QA support as necessary.
- To assist the Quality Controller in the diagnosis of quality problems.
To be considered for this Quality Inspector role:
- Ability to read & understand complex Engineering drawings & instructions.
- Previous experience inspecting engineering tools and components
- Experience in using measurement tools e.g. calipers and micrometers, Romer Measurement arms, Faro arm
- Familiar with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
- Structured and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team
- Excellent communicator
- Good time management skills
