The Operational Team Lead will provide day-to-day administrative leadership and support to the Specialist Orthotics and Amputee Rehabilitation Team, part of the Adult & Specialist Rehabilitation Division at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre.
The post holder will be responsible for the coordination, deployment, and supervision of administrative staff delivering inventory, materials management, and operational purchasing services across defined areas of the Trust. They will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, team colleagues, and external suppliers to ensure a responsive and professional service that supports high-quality patient care.
The post holder is also responsible for the overall day-to-day supervision, performance monitoring, and supporting the development of administrative staff within the team.
Responsible for ensuring administration staff within the team provide relevant, effective and timely administration support to the service ensuring the patient pathway runs smoothly
To support compliance with national, commissioning and local waiting list/Referral To Treatment (RTT) targets, monitor on a daily/weekly/monthly basis the service Waiting lists and RTT pathways to ensure accurate effective waiting lists and timely escalation processes are in place across the service to reduce/avoid breaches in targets
Ensure robust data quality systems and are in place and regularly monitored to ensure data is accurately recorded, maintained and updated in a timely way to support any KPIs or local requirements
Ensure sickness and absence within the administration team is actively managed in a timely way, including return to work meetings in line with Trust Policy and local guidelines
Utilise analytical skills to interpret and evaluate complex data sets from a variety of sources, including service performance reports, patient feedback, and operational metrics. Using the Trust activity dashboard, local databases or spreadsheets. Liaising with Trust informatics teams when required. Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports to support service reviews, audits, and performance monitoring. Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, presenting findings in a format suitable for both clinical and non-clinical audiences
