Our client is recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller who is qualified with at least 5 years PQE as a Financial Controller
About the Role
An established and growing business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller / Accountant to take ownership of its finance function and support strategic business decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone commercially astute, detail-oriented, and driven to make a difference within a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and group reporting, providing insight and recommendations to optimise profitability.
• Oversee control account reconciliations, payroll and pension administration, daily sales reporting, and cost control.
• Partner with the senior leadership team to shape and deliver strategic plans for sales, growth, and budgeting.
• Develop and monitor site-based KPIs and margin analysis to improve performance visibility.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a small Finance Team, ensuring capability for current and future business needs.
• Provide internal IT and systems support as required, including implementation of finance systems and process improvements.
• Conduct internal audit reviews and liaise with external auditors, banks, and statutory bodies.
• Support ad-hoc projects and business improvement initiatives as required.
About You
• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years’ finance management experience, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Commercially aware with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive, resilient, and hands-on with a positive, can-do attitude.
