You can also read more information about University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay visiting our website https://www.uhmb.nhs.uk/ The Unit provides a comprehensive secondary care service in all aspects of restorative dentistry. The service provides advice and treatment plans to local dentists as well as enjoying multi-disciplinary working alongside colleagues in orthodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery. The restorative service has developed a managed clinical network in South Cumbria for endodontics which, supports the service. Discussions have started with the local commissioners about an MCN in restorative dentistry and the successful candidate would be able to become involved in developing this further. Links have been developed with Lancashire Teaching Hospital, [the regional centre for Head and Neck cancer treatment] to allow local patients to be treated locally.
