What skills and experience we're looking for
• Strategic Mindset: Demonstrates the ability to think long-term and contribute meaningfully to the development of school priorities.
• Skilled in engaging confidently and professionally with staff, senior leaders, and external stakeholders to support collaboration and shared goals.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Supportive and Challenging Leadership: Sets clear expectations for school leaders and is confident in asking challenging questions where appropriate, always aiming to support improvement and accountability.
• Collaborative Approach: Experienced in working with teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility, professional growth, and school-wide improvement.
• Passionate About Education: Deeply committed to improving pupil outcomes.
• No special qualifications or prior governance experience are required to apply, however we are particularly interested in people who have expertise in Health and Safety, Premises Management or work related to education settings.
• To maintain impartiality and ensure balanced representation, this opportunity is not open to parents or guardians of children within the community.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS and Section 128 check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
