An exciting opportunity has arisen within Clydesdale in Adult and Older People's Services. We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic permanent full-time Social Worker in our Adult Team and a part-time Social Worker (17.5 hours) in our Older Person’s team with negotiable work patterns available.

Although Clydesdale has several urban centres such as Lanark, Carluke, Lesmahagow, Biggar, Forth and Douglas it is the most rural area of South Lanarkshire, where issues such as transport, access to services and rural deprivation can have a marked effect.
Clydesdale has a population of 61,671 of which 27% are aged 65 and over, with a higher percentage of aged 75 and over (9%) in comparison with the rest of South Lanarkshire which sits at 8.3%.
Given the local geography and demographic factors, Health and Social Work teams in Clydesdale were already working in partnership prior to the implementation of Health and Social Care Integration. As such we have long established professional multi-agency working networks and processes that support our person-centred approach to supporting our vulnerable citizens.
