Aim of the role:
Redcentric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager with Cyber Security expertise. The primary purpose of the Cyber Business Development Manager is to work with the sales teams, providing Cyber specific knowledge to the sales process. This is a sales overlay / presales role, and you will be accountable for engaging with the sales teams to ensure that opportunities within their accounts are being uncovered.
You will work closely with the Head of Cyber Security, Cyber Product and Portfolio Manager and the Heads of the Cyber Assurance, Resilience and Defence teams, shaping Redcentric's Cyber strategy, promoting and selling Redcentric's complete portfolio of cyber services and supporting managed services.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not restricted to the following:

Providing Cyber technical knowledge to the sales team

Prospecting new business leads
-
Qualifying and leading the initial (Cyber) business discussions with the client

Following up and providing written materials (proposal etc)

Engaging additional internal personnel as needed
-
Objection handling, progressing and closing Cyber opportunities
-
Drafting the contract service schedules
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
-
At least 4 years successful Cyber sales experience in a direct, overlay or presales sales position
-
Experience of selling Cyber Security and Consultative solutions
-
Experience in operating up to 'C' level
-
Good understanding of Cyber/Services sales and sales cycles/processes
-
IT and Cyber Security specific MSP market specific knowledge
-
Experience of writing and contributing to sales proposals and bid responses
-
Excellent presentation skills (articulate and engaging)
-
Develop positive working relationships with internal and external customers
The candidate must have experience working some of the following vendor propositions and be willing to develop their knowledge where they do not have experience:
* Microsoft Azure
* Microsoft 365
* Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server and server software
* AWS
* Citrix
* Fortinet
* VMware vCloud, Storage, Networking and Management technologies
* Linux and open-source technologies
Personal competencies:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:
* Ability to learn quickly and to share knowledge including acquiring a detailed understanding of Redcentric products and services.
* Polished presentation and white-boarding skills and be confident in front of audiences up to and including CxO level.
* Perform the role of primary relationship manager from a technical perspective for selected customers and be responsible for formulating a strategy with that customer.
* Demonstrable experience of working within enterprise IT environments.
* Good understanding of industry and competitive landscapes.
* Can-do approach with ability to solve problems systematically.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
* Fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint).
* Ability to take a technical concept and convey it into a workable solution, but also can explain in simple language to nontechnical personnel the detail of such a solution.
* Demonstrate solid commercial awareness.
* Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Actively maintain technical certifications and to continually develop new skills in emerging technologies either by self-study or attending company funded training sessions.
Hours of work
The company's standard hours of work are 9.00am - 5.30pm with one hour for lunch, Monday to Thursday, and 9.00am-3.30pm on a Friday, however due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required. It is essential for this role that the candidate is able to travel on occasion within the UK and work away from home when customer or business needs dictate.
