The job is offered on a part-time basis (in the first instance) as a job-share position with an experienced science technician. Both technicians will work 3 days per week with one overlapping day (Wednesday). Preferably, this position would be filled by someone who has experience of laboratory work but this is not essential as there will be opportunities for training by their job-share partner.
Applicants should be flexible, comfortable in the presence of young people and be able to use their own initiative. Good computing skills and experience with educational software packages (for example, Google Drive) would be preferable, but not essential.
