Contract Hours: 37 per week TTO + 2 weeks
About the role
Park View Primary School is part of the Keep Learning Trust and is committed to providing an excellent education by working together, we create lifelong chances and choices for all our pupils. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated school business manager to join our team and play a key role in the operational management of our school.
As our School Business Manager, you will lead on all aspects of finance, HR, administration, facilities management, health & safety, and compliance. You will work closely with the Headteacher to ensure resources are used effectively to deliver the best outcomes for our pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
- Finance compliance with statutory and trust requirements.
- HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, payroll entries and updating the SCR.
- Premises & Facilities: Manage contracts, site maintenance, and health & safety compliance to ensure a safe, well-resourced learning environment.
- Compliance & Administration: Maintain policies, ensure GDPR compliance, and oversee efficient office administration.
The successful candidate will:
- Have proven experience in business operations (school or education sector experience desirable).
- Hold (or is working towards) a recognised School Business Manager qualification (CSBM, DSBM, or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
- To solve problems and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Be confident in using different systems and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software/applications.
- Will have previous experience of working within Education, however it is not essential to be successful in this role; experience of working within a busy team (at volume) is essential.
- Be committed to supporting the values and ethos of our school community.
