New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust is a vibrant, aspirational and inclusive multi-academy trust of eight special schools and two specialist post-16 provisions across Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale. As part of the wider New Bridge Group there are also two post-19 provisions. Our settings support a wide spectrum of needs from age 4-19 and beyond. The Trust is proud to be national leaders in Special Education and has a culture of creating outstanding opportunities for all. We are at an exciting point in our development, and this role will be crucial in shaping the financial strategy of the Trust as we continue to grow.

We are now looking to appoint an exceptional and experienced Executive Advisor Safeguarding and Behaviour. This is a pivotal leadership role, providing strategic oversight, professional guidance, and expert support to schools to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding practice and behaviour culture across the Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders, Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), and pastoral teams to drive a culture of safety, inclusion and respect, ensuring every child and young person is supported to thrive.

We invite applications from individuals with substantial experience of safeguarding and behaviour, with a deep understanding of statutory frameworks, best practice and the complexities of safeguarding in educational settings. You will be a credible and compassionate leader, able to build trust and influence across diverse teams and schools.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in senior safeguarding and/or behaviour leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current statutory guidance and inspection frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead improvement, build capacity, and deliver impact across multiple settings.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to inclusion, equality, and the wellbeing of all pupils and staff.

We can offer you:

  • A supportive and values-led culture
  • Opportunity to make a real impact across a growing trust
  • Flexible working arrangements, including options for hybrid working
  • Generous annual leave and pension scheme
  • High quality continuing professional development (CPD) through our dedicated Everyone Learning Team
  • Health Cash Plan and access to PerkBox Benefits
  • Trust TOIL Scheme for all staff
  • The opportunity to be part of our thriving team, who are committed to creating meaningful futures for both our students and staff

New Bridge MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must have a commitment to safeguarding young people. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and references will be sought prior to interview. For all shortlisted candidates, an online search will also be carried out as part of our due diligence in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024.

We strive to create a fair and inclusive workplace that is as diverse as the communities we serve. We positively welcome applications from all candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.

Closing Date: Monday 20th October 2025, 9am
