Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Handyperson to join our team and work with a variety of Mitie clients. Your role will involve carrying out building maintenance activities and necessary repairs to deliver the highest level of service in a cost-effective, technically competent, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks, including carpentry, tiling, roofing, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, guttering, decorating, plastering, fault finding, and leak investigations.
-Ensure high levels of health and safety and compliance with statutory requirements.
-Conduct regular monitoring and inspection procedures for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance program.
-Produce concise and accurate data records using your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).
-Report and provide feedback on vulnerabilities within the community, use of labour and materials, and task deliverability within allocated time.
Ideal Candidate:
-Background in facilities or mobile maintenance, the construction sector, or a similar field.
-Qualified to Level 2/3 City and Guilds in a relevant field.
-Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Proficient in using IT systems for record-keeping and reporting.
-Physically fit to handle the demands of the role.
