Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 5:30pm (4-day week, 38 hours)

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x, readily available

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our team in Accrington. This role isn’t just about programming from a computer — we need someone who can also program at the machine, set, and operate CNC milling machines.
You'll be working with 3-axis milling machines, primarily using Heidenhain controls, with some exposure to Fanuc as well.

Our client is also open to hiring a Setter/Operator and providing training to develop them into a CNC Programmer

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Programming CNC milling machines at the machine (Heidenhain and Fanuc controls)
⦁ Setting and operating 3-axis milling machines
⦁ Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
⦁ Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
⦁ Working independently and as part of a small team
⦁ Ensuring health & safety standards are followed

What We’re Looking For
⦁ Experience with CNC milling machines (ideally 3-axis)
⦁ Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls (Fanuc a bonus)
⦁ Ability to program at the machine (preferred)
⦁ Willingness to learn and develop
⦁ Reliable and self-motivated

What We Offer
⦁ Competitive pay – up to £18/hour if fully skilled
⦁ Overtime at 1.5x
⦁ 4-day working week (Mon–Thurs, 38 hours)
⦁ 20 days holiday + 1 extra day per year worked (up to 5 extra days)
⦁ Training and upskilling opportunities for Setter/Operators
⦁ Friendly, supportive working environment
