Cygnet are currently looking for an experiencedLearning Disabilities Support Workerto join our team working at Conifers. Conifers is a specialist 7-bed residential home providing outcome-focused care for adults with a primary diagnosis of profound to moderate learning disability and autism with associated complex needs. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each persons specific needs. We understand that consistency and continuity of care is important for the people we support. The people we support: People from the age of 18 years Individuals with a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities May have autism May have communication challenges May have associated complex needs May have physical disabilities and require specialist mobility equipment Why Cygnet? Preferably hold a full clean UK driving license (although this is not essential for this role) A can-do attitude and the ability to work well within a friendly staff team. Knowledge of non-verbal communication techniques such as Makaton would be advantageous; however, training on this will be provided.
