A Vacancy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking enthusiastic Senior Clinical Fellows to join our General Paediatric Departments across three acute West London Children's Healthcare (WLCH) sites. Senior Clinical Fellows will rotate through all three main WLCH sites, gaining broad experience in a combination of acute/general paediatrics, neonatology, Paediatric HDU, emergency medicine and subspecialty clinics.
These posts suit doctors outside a training programme or trainees seeking out-of-programme experience and SPIN opportunities.
Depending on placement, post holders will gain experience in general paediatrics and relevant subspecialties, with opportunities in Paediatric HDU (Chelsea & Westminster) and Neonatology (West Middlesex). Each post is tailored to individual career goals, with access to training equivalent to that offered to senior paediatric trainees.
The opportunity to be involved across multiple Paediatric and Neonatal specialties and multiple hospital sites is a unique offer for doctors wishing to develop their skillset in various aspects of Paediatric and Neonatal care.
Post holders will work within established teams to deliver high-quality care and contribute to clinical service, teaching, audit and research activities.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide day to day care for children in partnership with the consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare and contribute to Paediatric MDT meetings and journal clubs
• Participate in paediatric and neonatal resuscitations with the team
• To participate in out of hours rotas
• To help with acute paediatric emergencies as part of the paediatric resuscitation team
• Contribute to the postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programme
• Participate in audit, guideline development and clinical research within the department
• Duties will vary depending on placement
West London Children’s Healthcare was formed on 1st April 2022 bringing paediatric services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT) and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CWFT) under a single leadership structure accountable to both Trust Boards for all elements of operational, quality, safety and financial performance.
WLCH runs services from Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, and West Middlesex Hospital.
In addition, two child development services operate from the Cheyne Centre and Woodfield Road.
All aspects of the role will support WLCH in achieving its vision, mission and goals, which can be viewed in the attached job description.
