Job Title: Special Needs Teachers (SEND)Location: Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term and Permanent OpportunitiesAbout the RoleWe are looking for passionate and experienced Special Needs Teachers to join our network of schools across the Black Country. These roles involve working with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
  • Complex physical and medical needs

You will play a vital role in creating inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environments that enable every child to achieve their potential.Types of Schools You Could Work In

  • Special Schools - supporting pupils with complex needs in a highly nurturing environment.
  • Alternative Provision (AP) / PRUs - working with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support.
  • Mainstream Schools with SEND Units - providing targeted interventions within a mainstream setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, and physical needs, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to reviews, and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND in specialist or mainstream settings.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
