Oxford Lifelong Learning is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our professional kitchen team.

About the role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality food across a range of services. You will support the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and supervision of kitchen staff, ensuring standards of excellence in both presentation and taste.

This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing and presenting food to the highest standards
• Assisting with menu creation for daily service and bespoke events
• Supervising and training kitchen staff
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations
• Supporting the delivery of fine dining experiences for special functions

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie in the hospitality industry
• A recognised professional culinary qualification
• Excellent culinary and presentation skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a small team
• Flexibility and a proactive, can-do attitude
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices (Ideally with an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate)
