This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria. We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. To support the senior leadership team to manage a team of nurses ensuring the development and maintenance of high quality care and professional standards are upheld, take responsibility for the day to day management of the clinical area. Take a lead for a specific area of professional practice as delegated by the Lead and deputise in their absence. To provide a high standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care as required within the Emergency Department. To utilise a variety of strategies and communicate effectively with patients and their family/carers. Liaise with the MDT, other departments within the Trust and pertinent agencies outside the organisation. In order to deliver the above, you will require an excellent understanding and knowledge of adult and paediatric health needs including substantial ED experience and extensive post qualification experience. You will take responsibility for a specific area within the Emergency Department during a span of duty during absence of more senior staff. Provide high quality evidence based clinical care to patients, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulations Work with others to protect and promote the health and wellbeing of those in your care, their families and carers, and the wider community To work in line with Trust policies, objectives, protocols and local guidelines To act as a role model communicating in line with Trust values, to patients, carers and the staff at all times. Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from the senior nurse in charge, recognising and working within the limits of your competence. Take every opportunity to continue to maintain and develop your own practice. Facilitate students and others to develop their competence through supervision, teaching and role modelling.
