About the Role

Are you passionateabout improving patient care and driving service excellence?

We’re seeking a dedicated and empathetic Patient ExperienceAmbassador to join our Sodexo Healthcare team, supporting our sites across Colchester Hospital, Ipswich Hospital,Aldeburgh, Felixstowe, Harwich, and Bluebird Lodge (Ipswich).

As the voice of the patient and the face of Sodexo, you’ll act as the vital linkbetween patients, staff, and management — ensuring every service user receivesthe highest standard of care and support. Your role will focus on capturing,analysing, and interpreting patient feedback to drive continuous improvementacross all service areas.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a visible presence across wards and departments, gathering feedback from patients, visitors, and staff through face-to-face interaction and digital tools.
  • Review and analyse patient feedback and data to identify trends and develop improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with Sodexo and NHS Trust colleagues to deliver enhanced patient experience outcomes.
  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and share insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the CARES programme, promoting positive staff behaviours and a culture of care and respect.
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and share feedback insights with clinical and operational leaders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, especially when handling sensitive feedback or engaging with patients facing challenges such as language barriers or disabilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for exceptional patient care and service quality.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with empathy and professionalism.
  • Confidence to engage and influence at all levels — from patients to senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into action.
  • Experience working in a complex, people-focused service environment (healthcare experience desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to handle constructive feedback with sensitivity.
