Stride Recruitment are activley recruiting a ongoing HGV Refuse Collection Driver to use in-cab technology carrying out refuse and recycling collections on pre-planned daily out of our clients depot based at Fairbridge Way, Burgess Hill, RH16 1UA with rates of £15.74 and time and a half overtime.
Inductions Friday 10th October 8am at Fairbridge Way, Burgess Hill, RH16 1UA.
Working Hours:
6am to 3.00pm, Monday – Friday
No overtime or weekend work - This is available if candidate prefers
JOB SPEC:
Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job
Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal
Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed
Complete relevant paperwork in real time
Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use
Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users
What you’ll need to succeed:
Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
Driver CPC
Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated
Willingness to undertake tasks
Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff
