Role Purpose:

This role plays an integral part of Defaqto 's success through supporting the Insight Operations Team in the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly fund and portfolio risk rating assessments and investment reviews.

You'll find yourself getting involved with document management, inputting of fund information to ensure that our database of financial products, propositions, funds and portfolios is up to date and accurate and you'll also support wider team projects.

What you'll do

* Ensure that quarterly risk ratings for funds and managed portfolios are produced in a timely manner and following the agreed process.
* Escalate concerns or issues to more senior team members.
* Manage the templates and data extraction for investment reviews.
* Request additional information from external customers when required by email.
* Upload review documents to the relevant platform and work closely with our marketing team to ensure accuracy of content and design.
* Manage regular data updates, highlighting inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
* Over time understand and interpret fund information, identify differences between past and current data and update the database with new information.
* Support the team with building and managing effective relationships with a network of industry contacts.
* Conduct data audits and provide constructive feedback.

What we're looking for:

* Ideally educated to A-Level standard or equivalent with at least one mathematical or STEM subject. As a minimum, strong GCSE passes (grade 7 to 9) in Maths and English.
* If you don't have a maths or STEM A-level, then some work experience which demonstrates your numerical ability.
* Strong IT skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
* Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
* Organised and methodical.
* Self-motivated, independent and proactive.
* Happy working with spreadsheets and data with strong attention to detail.
* Keen to develop an understanding of the UK retail financial services market and specifically, wealth management products (i.e. different types of investment funds).

In summary - you'll be numerate, great with detail, a strong communicator and super keen to develop a career within financial services!

Location

This is a hybrid role so you'll be working in our Haddenham office three times each week (normally Monday, Tuesday and one other day). We have free onsite parking and are close to the Haddenham and Thame railway station, which is on the Oxford to London line.
