We are recruiting on behalf of our valued client, a West Midlands specialist provider of care and support for children and young people with mental health disorders, learning disabilities, complex needs, and emotional and behavioural difficulties EBD.
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping positive outcomes for the children and young people in looked after care, while leading and supporting a dedicated staff team and being the driver of excellence
To apply, you must:
Have proven experience in residential children’s care
Hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma specifically in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Be flexible, resilient, and passionate about making a difference and working towards company goals
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Key Responsibilities
As a Team Leader, you will:
Provide day-to-day leadership and act as a positive role model
Manage rotas and staffing levels to meet care requirements
Lead daily shift planning and handovers
Supervise and mentor your team in line with Care Regulations
Provide on-call support when required
Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
Ensure safeguarding is always a top priority
Support with care planning, record keeping, and administering medication where appropriate
Mentor and support residential children’s workers that you will oversee
Skills & Attributes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident, supportive team player
Kind, caring and resilient nature
Basic IT skills
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
