Are you passionate about making health and safety meaningful and accessible to frontline teams?
We’re looking for a Health & Safety Compliance Advisor to join our Home & Community Team where your ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively will be key to success.
This role involves delivering site-specific guidance, toolbox talks, and practical support to teams working across construction and housing environments. You’ll bring strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to communicating health and safety in a clear, constructive, and relatable way.
Alongside your communication skills, you’ll also bring solid technical expertise, supporting compliance, and helping embed a positive safety culture. You’ll be confident gaining buy-in from staff and leading conversations that make health and safety meaningful and effective on the ground.

About Freebridge Community Housing:
Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk’s housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across west and north Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We’ve had numerous achievements, including delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. At Freebridge, we live by our values: Belong, Own It, Think Customer, One Team One Purpose, and Be the Change.

What you’ll be doing:

- Operational Support: Assist, develop and advise operational managers in implementing Health, Safety and Welfare procedures to support safe systems of work and a positive safety culture.
-Risk Management: Support the completion, delivery, and review of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work across the organisation.
-Incident Investigation: Lead or assist in accident and incident investigations, including record keeping, recommending remedial actions, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
-Site Monitoring: Undertake site visits to monitor compliance, investigate complaints, and assist in evidence gathering for investigations.
-Safety Inspections: Maintain and develop the programme for safety inspections of operational buildings and work sites, producing reports where deficiencies are identified.
-Safety Culture: Act as a key driver in embedding a proactive and positive safety culture across corporate and operational functions.
-Ownership Transition: Support operational managers in transitioning safety responsibilities through structured handover plans and ongoing coaching.
-Training Delivery: Assist in the procurement, organisation, and delivery of induction, topic-specific, and refresher training within areas of expertise.
-Incident Reporting: Ensure all incidents are triaged appropriately and compile RIDDOR reports where required.
-Data & Reporting: Produce reports on accident and incident statistics for presentation to the Health & Safety Committee and Leadership Team.

What we’re looking for:
